Cressey’s Surf Academy aims to provide professional, accessible and sustainable surfing experiences that benefit mind and body without detriment to the environment from which we gain. We want you to feel safe and valued during your time with us to ensure you get the most out of your time in the water.
Our business is obviously a lot closer to nature than most. So it makes both ethical and commercial sense for us to ensure we do all we can to protect the environment that provides our livelihood and enjoyment. As a small but growing business we are continually exploring new ways in which we can become environmentally and ethically conscious and further develop as an eco-surf school.
We are also seeking ways we can become more accessible and remove barriers to surfing - we stand by our policies below, but also desire to continually grow in these areas as leaders of good practice. If you have suggestions on how we can improve in any of these areas we would be happy to hear from you.
Cressey's Surf Academy takes the health and safety of all participants and surf coaches very seriously. We are fully insured for public liability, and adhere to our Normal Operating Procedures (NOP) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP) below. Full risk assessments are carried out on each beach we teach at and all policies and procedures are reviewed annually. We also support our Surf Coaches with continual professional developed to ensure their qualifications are not only relevant but they are continuing to expand their skills and experience in surfing.
